Viraja & Ram's Buckinghamshire Wedding

Where do I even begin to tell you about Viraja and Ram’s wedding day?! From the venue (oh, the venue) to the epic florals by Devine Flowers, the decadent details to the sheer love between the couple. Everything about this celebration will sweep you up in romance and it’s guaranteed to inspire your very own celebration.

Viraja and Ram chose Danesfield House in Buckinghamshire as the setting for their small gathering on 30th June 2021, to celebrate their legal ceremony after their traditional Hindu wedding the previous weekend. A real contrast to their legal ceremony, which had a large guest list, the newlyweds opted for something a little more intimate, surrounded by just their immediate family in the most magical location imaginable.

Danesfield House, with its elegant architecture, manicured gardens and photo backdrops galore, has always been a favourite of mine to shoot at. I was lucky enough to spend equal amounts of time in the morning with both the bride and groom, capturing their morning preparations as they unfolded. Viraja looked gorgeous in a pink gown, dressed head to toe with jewels and accessories to complete the traditional Hindu attire. I am still obsessed with her jewellery set! The bridal bouquet, beautifully designed by Devine Flowers, added the final touch to her aisle style. It was overflowing with leafy foliage, pillow-soft roses and blush peonies, tied together with a silk ribbon.

The Versaille Suite was the perfect space for their ceremony, boasting gilded mirrors, high ceilings and twinkling chandeliers.

It immediately provided a fairy-tale vibe! Following the ‘I Dos’ and those all-important confetti photographs, we made the most of the extensive grounds at Danesfield House for the couple shots. Their family enjoyed a toast on the courtyard, which was really special to capture on camera.

The coupe hosted their family dinner in The Chiltern Suite, which offers unrivalled views across the gardens and the River Thames. Devine Flowers worked her floral magic, creating scattered heights of soft pink roses, peonies and foliage for the table-scape design. She used various glass vases and metallic holders, with tea lights worked in for a dash of ambience.

Their wedding day was bursting with beautifully personal details, including the welcome signage with gorgeous Hindu illustrations and handmade place names. Their three-tier wedding cake (which was uniquely displayed on three different stands) also stole the show, featuring hand-painted floral icing that was just too beautiful to eat.

It was a pleasure to document Viraja and Ram’s intimate wedding at Danesfield House and I hope you enjoy scrolling through the images!
